Alison Christina Mathers

June 18, 1971 — December 16, 2021

Alison Christina Mathers was born June 18th, 1971, to William Thomas McMillan and Delores
McMillan. She is preceded in death by Delores McMillan.


Alison was highly educated and very dedicated to her works of study. Alison graduated high
School class of 1989 of Ritenour SR. High Alison continued her education at Nashville State
Community College then to Middle Tennessee State University where she graduated with an
Associate Degree in Healthcare Management, Associate Degree in Sociology, Certified
Professional Coder with AAPC, and Bachelor of Science Integrated Studies with a Minor in
Sociology.


Alison was enlisted in the United States Army March 1, 1992-1995 at Fort Bragg, North
Carolina. She was a photo lithographer 83 E.


Alison pursued her career in real estate, working for Village Real Estate as an affiliate broker in
Nashville, Tennessee from January 2, 2009-2011. She also dabbled in homecare in taking care of elderly people and has always left them well satisfied with a smile on their face.


Alison has been a fighter ever since she was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer and a tumor that dramatically decreased her weight. Despite all she went through the years she stayed strong for her son Cory Mathers and earned her Bachelor's degree leading by example to never stop moving forward.


Alison leaves to cherish her memory: her one and only son, Cory Mathers; Cory’s father, Orlando Mathers; father, William Thomas McMillan; brother, Bill Russell; cousin, Amethyst Burton; friends, Uykia Phillips, Lorrie and Melvin Young, Doris Mclay, Robin Wagenmaker Mike Smith; Special thanks to longtime friends, Janice and Tim Hughes, Tony and Tanisha Elliot, and Sharonda Carrethers.
