Sister Annie Mai Finney was born on January 10, 1936 to the union of
Foshion and Cornelia Goodner. She departed this life peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ms. Annie left her earthly life to be at rest as she joins her late parents, Foshion and Cornelia Goodner; brother, Robert, Thomas, Jimmie, and Fred Goodner; sisters, Ella Goodner and Christine Lewis; daughters, Joyce and Edwina Goodner.
Ms. Annie accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and later in life was united at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor James C. Turner, Sr.
Ms. Annie was a faithful employee of Meharry Hospital for many years before she retired. She loved her devoted dog, Peaches and gardening in the neighborhood garden in her community.
Ms. Annie leaves to cherish her precious memories with her devoted daughter, Peggy Greer and Gladys Vaughn; devoted grandchildren, Helen (Michael) Kendrick, Michael (Shantrelle), Stacy, and Pamela Johnson, Henry Greer III, Sonja Kimbrough and 9 other grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren, 19 great-great grandchildren, devoted niece, Dera Dowell; devoted nephew, Fred Goodner Jr. and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends, Ms. Maud Moore, Mr. David Manning, Mr. Wilner Prophete, Mr. Matthew Jobe, Helen Glenn, Olivia Patterson, Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin Hollis, the Cleveland Family, Barbara Ann Robertson and Mr. & Mrs. Malone, Brenda Overton, Michelle Nelson and Erma Harris.
