Anthony Jerone Knight

Anthony Jerone Knight (Burns) was born December 8, 1959 in Davidson County, Tennessee to the late Oliver Knight, Sr. and Alice Knight Swett. He departed this earthly life at his residence on February 21, 2019. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Swett, sister, Latanya Muldrew, father-in-law, Richard Spann and brother-in-law, Richard Donnell Spann.

He was educated in the Davidson County School System, graduating from North High School in 1977. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1982. He was a repairman of teletypewriter and electro-mechanical typewriters.

He worked in all phases of maintenance, building and grounds, industrial, construction and insurance repairs (1983-1999). He worked for his stepfather ten years, James Swett Construction. He was the assistant building superintendent on the Cumberland Science Museum. He was the Industrial Maintenance Tech for Lochivar Industries. He was a carpenter, master craftsman, and master cleaner for several real estate and property management companies. He was self-employed 1999-2017. He became ill in December 2017.

He received the man of the year award at the Saint Peter A. M. E. Church. He was a Sunday School teacher and Sunday School superintendent at Saint Peter A. M. E. Church. He was married to Adriane Spann -Knight.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Adriane Spann-Knight; daughter, De’Ashia Knight; son, Antonio Knight; mother-in-law, Essie Spann; brothers, Oliver (Regina) Knight, Reginald Knight, DeWayne (Sandra) Knight, Thomas (Ernestine) Knight, Demetrius (Stephanie) Knight, Daryl Knight, Aron (Margie) Swett, and John Lockridge; sisters, Cassandra Savely, Renee’ Knight, Lisa (John)McKinney, Pamela Swett, Lynn Swett and Lisa (John) McKinney; uncle, Nathan (Jean) Lee; devoted sister-in-law, Sandra Spann; a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, devoted friends, Thomas Boyd and Mario Brooks.
