Arezka Mitchell-Collins, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
Arezka Mitchell-Collins (commonly called Baby Doll or Rez), was educated in Metro Nashville Public Schools. She was a graduate of Whites Creek High School, and she received her Bachelor's Degree in English Literature at Tennessee State University. Arezka taught English at Bass Middle School in Nashville Tennessee. She also, worked as a Case Manager with the Department of Children Services, Nashville Tennessee.
Arezka loved to talk, and never met a stranger. She loved working with children and the children loved her. She was cheerleader coach and creative dance coach at Bass Middle School. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry. She loved participating in drama activities and was a member of T. E. Poag Players Guild.
Arezka professed Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was baptized at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend Dr. Frank Mason Spence. As a member, she joined the youth choir and participated in various youth activities. Arezka loved the Lord and had no trouble sharing God's word with others.
Arezka leaves to cherish her memories: Loving parents, Theresa Clem and Gary Mitchell; Devoted sons: Audair (Angela) Mitchell, Kylon and Garrick Collins; Brother, Gary (Julia) Mitchell, Honorary brother Natonga Foster; Nephew, Gary's Mitchell; Grandson, Kodah Mitchell; Honorary sisters, Angel (Jermaine) Holt, Lisa Marsh and Natonya Turner; Loving Aunts, Frances Ralston and Rose Pitts; A host of other relatives, friends and church family.
