Arvella “Polly” Hardy was born on June 7, 1944. She departed this life on May 14, 2017.

Arvella was a graduate of Cameron High School. She furthered her education and attended Draughons Business School. She was employed as an office manager for Dr. Milton Penn until her retirement.

She was married to Albert Hardy. Arvella loved old movies, “The Motown Sound”, especially the Temptations and Smokey Robinson. Mama loved going “up the road” to the casino. Most of all she just loved being with family.

Arvella was preceded in death by her parents, Alma Land William A. Harris and sister, Alice Faye Gilbert.

She leaves to cherish her memories devoted and loving children, Kim Ewing, Pam Covington, Brian (Minnie) Hardy, Reginald (Rhonda) Hardy, Michael Hardy; grandchildren, Shetika Covington, Marcus (Dominique), Nicole Covington, Lena Covington. Jerrl Ewing, Tiffany Sherrod, Brian Hardy, Jr. and Jai Michael Caldwell; great grandchildren, Antonio Covington, Elizabeth Covington, Gabriel Dortch, J.D. Ewin, Jabari, Joshua and Jaylen Tolbert, Marlon Walton, Dominic Covington, Kiara Covington; great great grandson, Malachai Covington; Siblings, Estella "Molly" (Willie) Short, Willie Ruth ( Sterling) Stratford, Dorothy Benedict, Phillip ( Sharon) Jordan and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
