Berlin L Johnson

Berlin L. Johnson, age 90, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Berlin L Johnson was born March 16, 1933, in Williamson County, Franklin, Tennessee to the late William and Mattie Johnson.  He was preceded in death by wives Betty and Annie, son Anthony, daughters Stephanie, Rosa, and Tracy.

Berlin excelled in the Williamson County Public school until age 13 and started his journey as an emancipated individual.  His career was diverse. He was employed as a farmer, Head Chef, Warehouse Technician and later started his own tree cutting service.  He was a hard worker and he passed on that trait to his ten children.  He was a true friend to the very end.

Berlin enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, tobacco and on occasion a sip of smooth Tennessee Whiskey.  His street name was” Kool Operator”.

He is preceded in death by his three brothers, Louis, Eugene, Richard and four sisters, Anna, Clara, Lenora, and Fannie.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children Alonzo Johnson Jr. (Stephanie), Yolanda Doss (Bobby), Pamela Johnson, Ramona Johnson, Donna Grissett, and Stacy Sutton. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He took the word of God “be fruitful and multiply” to another level. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory devoted friends Mr. David Young and confidant Ms. Betty Montgomery and a devoted son in-law Bobby Doss

Although Berlin was not affiliated with a local church, he believed in God.  He walked by faith and was a living example of a godly and caring person.  He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
