Bovhey Lenardi (Len) Doss was born on December 20, 1964 in Nashville, Tennessee to James and Mary Lou Doss.

Len graduated from Whites Creek High School and held the title “Mr. Whites Creek”. He also attended Tennessee State University before starting his successful career in Sales as an Insurance consultant for American General Insurance Company. Len also worked in the catering and lawn services industries before his health began to decline.

Len loved studying the word of God, sending out scriptures and discussing them with everyone especially his sons. (Psalm 42; Romans 8) He loved having deep discussions that were intellectually stimulating and engaged with anyone who presented a challenge. Len also loved shooting pool at the community center, riding bikes and watching sports. He had an infectious smile, a memorable chuckle and comical, dry sense of humor.

Len was preceded in death by his brother, Andre` Demetrius Doss and a devoted nephew, LaRon D. Owens.

Len’s memory will be cherished by his devoted parents, James (Mary Lou) Doss; sons, CourtNae “Davon” Doss, Derryen A. Doss and Bovhey L. Doss; sisters, Jacqueline McKissack and Nina Parham; aunts and uncles, Mary Kimble Adams, Ronald (Elsie) Doss, Albert (Linda) Doss and Angelia Doss, all of Nashville, Tennessee, Ruby (Ben) Phillips of Cleveland Ohio, Elder Harrison (Beverly) Burruss of Huntsville, Alabama, Gloria Spann of Greensboro, North Carolina, Theodore Burruss of Madison, Alabama; devoted great aunt, Eliza Pitts Washington and devoted great uncle, Willie Booker of Nashville, Tennessee; six grandchildren; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
