Cecil M. Cannon was born September 28, 1948 in West Point, Mississippi to the late Bilbo and Maebelle Cannon. He transitioned to his heavenly home on June 23, 2022.
Cecil professed hope in Christ at an early age. He was educated in the public school system in West Point, MS and graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Architectural Engineering in 1974. He married Evelyn A. Johnson in 1972 and out of this union their three children were born.
In 1976, Cecil moved to Orangeburg, South Carolina to work at Claflin College. In 1979, he moved back to Nashville, TN and was employed at Barge, Wagner, Sumner & Cannon for 32 years.
He will always be remembered for his love of sports, movies, writing and dedication to family. He was proceeded in death by parents Bilbo and Maebelle Cannon, sister, Doris (LC) Cox, and brother, Dwain Cannon. Cecil leaves to cherish and carry on his memory his beloved children, Reginald (Kimberly) Cannon, Daryl Cannon, Annette (Christopher) Daniels; grandchildren, Rontez Cannon, Christopher Daniels, Jr., Tristan Cannon, Jailah Daniels, Korbyn Cannon, Alijah Daniels, Jayden Daniels, and Damontez Cannon; devoted and loving siblings, Jean Matthews, Jacqueline Cannon, Verna (Freeman) Harrison, Kelvin (Dorothy) Cannon, Annie (Ray) Meyers, Vivian (Perry) Campbell, Neni (Fred) Brown, and Andy Cannon; and, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
