Connie R. Jordan was born in Nashville, Tennessee on March 7, 1959. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at Mount Bethel Baptist Church under the Pastorate of Reverend Benjamin Sweat. Connie received her education here in Nashville, Tennessee. She went on to devote many years in the medical profession. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and spending time with her children and grandkids. She was an exceptional wife, proud mother, remarkable nanny and a loving sister and daughter. Connie’s heart had no boundaries. On April 8, 2021, God called her home.
She is preceded in death by her father, Herman Taylor; sister, Alberta Taylor; brother, Monte’ Taylor; aunt, Ruby Simmons; and nephew, Eric Bell Jr.
She will be missed by husband, Arthur Glen Davis; children, Dyvetria Huey (Kwesi Buegyam), Antonio Huey (Surayyah), and Donte Brandon; God children, Tomosa, Jordan Lockridge; step-daughter, Angela; grandchildren, Dayawn, Dajaua, and Dionysus Huey-Trotter, Daniella Buegyam, Adrian Huey, Kodi Crawford, Jailyn and Jazlyn Roberts, Cali, Judge and Donte Jr. Brandon and Schylar Riddick; pet-son, Prince Jordan Davis; sisters, Reita (James Bass), Veronica (Keith Haynes), Sharon (Joseph Brooks), and Tammie and Jennifer Taylor; cuzsis, Cassandra Kirby; brothers, Eddie (Ronna Edmond), Marvin (Tanya Edmond), Nathaniel Edmond, Herman Taylor, Desmond Taylor (Mia Taylor) and Donte’ Taylor; devoted friends, Peggy Perkin, Marilyn Branhan, and Angela and Malcolm Lockridge; and a host of other family members and friends.
