Preceded in death by his father, Cordell Carter; grandparents, William Lee Holder and Gertrude Holder.

His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his mother, Nettie Watkins; siblings, Wendy (Michael) Hayes, Lois Watkins, Doris Watkins, Cordell Carter, Christopher Carter, Angela Carter, Robin Carter, and Amanda Carter; his children, Ticoya (Morgan) Perkins, Dewayne Dontae Bridges, Cordell Taylor, India Taylor and Nylah Taylor, Kenetria Bridges and Christopher Bridges; his grandchildren, Morgan Shute Jr and Patience Shute; his devoted niece and nephew, Michael and Auriana Hayes; devoted cousin, Steve Taylor; devoted friends, Tonita Taylor, Jeffrey Batey Anderson, LaSean Campbell, Gerald Green, and Kenny Bass; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
