Creola Bernice Valentine Age 76 of Nashville transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Monday, March 9, 2015.
Creola Bernice Valentine was born into this world April 27, 1938 in Montgomery, Alabama. Creola was the second of four children born to the union of Irma Louise Franklin and Benjamin Earl Johnson. Creola accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age at Saint Paul A.M.E. church in Montgomery, Alabama.
Creola graduated from Alabama State College Laboratory High School May 25, 1956 and followed on to attend Alabama State University. She later moved to Chicago, Illinois and attended Cortez W. Peters Business College of Chicago.
Creola was joined in holy matrimony to Paul Valentine Sr. in 1959 and to this union three children were born. After her children were of age she settled into a career as a phlebotomist at a local doctor’s office in Chicago. Upon her retirement from this career she moved to Nashville, Tennessee and made it her home until her sunset March 9, 2015.
Creola is preceded in death by her father and mother, Benjamin Franklin Johnson Sr. (brother), and Atlene Louise Johnson Vincent (sister).
She leaves to cherish her memory: a son Paul R.Valentine Jr. (Angela), of Chicago, Illinois, two daughters Colleen Valentine of Chicago, Illinois and Karen Valentine of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a devoted sister Brenda Robertson of Nashville, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Frances Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee; a loving and devoted granddaughter whom she raised as her own, Tamika Valentine of Columbia, South Carolina; seven other grandchildren, Nicole, Tiffany, Brittany, Monique, and Dorian Valentine and Gregory and Cinnamon Brown; three great-grandchildren Nasir Barnes, Cameron Valentine and Makenzie Owens as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
