D`Angelo Dwayne Kennedy was born on May 26, 1978 in Nashville, Tennessee to E. Geraldine Kennedy and Albert Rogan.
D`Angelo started his primary education at St. Vincent de Paul School. He later attended the Metro Nashville Public School system where he graduated from Pearl Cohn High School. Afterwards he attended Tennessee State University where he studied Health Science.
D`Angelo accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Westwood Baptist Church, University Center. He looked to God for the answers to life’s problems.
D`Angelo loved sports and, out of his love of sports, he became a football and baseball coach at Pearl Cohn High School for seven years. He worked fourteen years for the Nashville Metropolitan Board of Education. Years later, D`Angelo evolved and became an established business owner with his own trucking company, Gigs Express, LLC.
D`Angelo is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Andrea Whiteside Kennedy; daughter, Kendall Renell Kennedy; son, D'Angelo Dwayne Kennedy Jr.; mother, E. Geraldine Kennedy; father, Albert Rogan; brother, Mark A. Hughes (Anuishka Townsend); nephew, Mark Smith and Markell Smith; mother-in-law, Joscelyn R. Whiteside (Memphis, TN); grandmothers, Deaconess Gracie Kennedy Vaughn and Mrs. Mary Smith; aunts, Shirley (Theodore) Fletcher and Vanessa Rogan; uncles, Gerald (Rhonda) Kennedy, Daryl Rogan, Keith (Cynthia) Rogan; and a host of cousins, friends and all of the coaching staff of Pearl Cohn High School, Umpires and CCUA Baseball Association.
