We pause and bow in humble submission to the Almighty and All- Wise God, who on Tuesday March 24, 2015, called on of His servants, Danny Johnson, to eternal rest. Danny was born September 20, 1961 in Cary, Mississippi to the Henry Sr. and Gladys Johnson. Danny united with St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastorate of Reverend Marvin Neal.
He started his early education in Cary, Mississippi he also attended Rolling Fork High School, where he played football, after high school he started labor work in Mississippi, from 1980-1991 from there he came to Nashville, Tennessee where he continued his work ethic.
Danny worked many years at Vanderbilt University Hospital and Centennial Hospital where specialized in floor maintenance.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr. and Gladys Johnson; brothers, Henry Johnson and Linwood Johnson; sister, Connie Johnson.
He is survived by companion, Terry McHollin; stepchildren, LaNesha and Desmont Madison; sisters, Linda James, Henrene Johnson, Essie (Ronnie) Edwards, Gladys Johnson; brother, Charles (Patre) Johnson; three grandchildren; five nieces; nine nephews; seventeen great nieces & nephews, and five great-great nieces and nephews to mourn his passing.
Public viewing with family present Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 6:00PM-7:00PM at Highland Hills Chapel, 2422 Brick Church Pike.
Visitation Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 11:00AM-12:00 Noon with funeral to follow at Highland Hills Chapel, 2422 Brick Church Pike with Pastor Samuel Orr, eulogist.
Interment, Greenwood West Cemetery.
