Mrs. Darlene A. Daniel (“Snooky”) was born November 2nd, 1953 in South Bronx, NY where she was the eldest of seven born to the late Jasper & Edith Kendall. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Randy, Michael, Gregory (New York); one sister, Jacqueline (New York).
Darlene graduated from Evander Childs High School and later furthered her education at Nashville Tech Community College in Nashville, TN.
At age 20, Darlene met the love of her life, Walter R. Daniel Jr., in Rochester, NY. In January1974, they united in marriage in Maine and transitioned to TN where they celebrated 43 years of marriage and were blessed with two loving daughters, Tonya and Shontay Daniel.
Darlene’s professional career included various job roles where she worked as a Nurses Aide, Emergency Medical Service Technician, Metropolitan Transit Authority Driver, and as the maintenance secretary at the Ford Glass Plant for 30 yrs where she retired.
Full of life and energy, she loved to dance, sing, write poetry, make people smile, and laugh. Her Love and Devotion was dedicated and invested in the Lord and her Family. She found pleasure and joy in meeting no strangers and giving laughter to others from All Walks of Life.
She leaves to cherish her devoted husband, Walter R. Daniel Jr., children, Tonya Daniel and Shontay Daniel; sisters, Brenda Kendall and Sondra Warren of (Bronx, NY); sister in law, Venice Kendall (NY), nieces, Makeyva (Shakim), Denise, Lakeisha, Talaya and Ariana; nephews, Keyana, Jerome, Jamel (Elizabeth) and Jayvar; great nieces, Daeja-Ne, Syari and Tanyiah; great nephews, Jayden, Jonah and Amarii; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, special and dear friends, Gloria Bell, Eula Hendricks, Shirley Mortel and many other friends.
