Darryl Eugene Wright, age 67 of Nashville transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Thursday, June 15, 2023.


Darryl Eugene Wright was born May 20, 1956, in Nashville, TN, to Charles Boyd and Johnnie Mai Maples. He departed this earthly life on June 15, 2023.


Darryl was educated at Cameron High School. He retired from B&G wholesale / Horizon Wine & Spirits where he was a truck driver for more than 20 years. Darryl was a member of St. Luke Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Frank Stevenson, where he became a Deacon on December 6, 2009.
Darryl was happily married to Barbara Yates for 36 years, and a dedicated father to three children. He enjoyed having pets, working with his hands painting, fixing up houses, and landscaping. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends at his home and going to family functions.


Darryl was preceded in death by his mother Jonnie Mai Maples; father, Charles Boyd, Brother Randy Wright, Sister Rosie Wright, Sister Brenda Wright, Brother Charles Wright, and brother Jesse Maples Jr.
Darryl leaves to cherish his memories with his devoted wife, Barbara Wright; sons, Timothy Wright and Marcus Wright; devoted daughter, Tracy Wright; grandchildren, Kemontay'e, Macari, Kelando, Maya, and Marcus, siblings, Ernest (Pamela) Smith, Wanda Davis, Marilyn Maples, and Tammy (Ronnie) Patrick, and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
