Daryl Lamont Cannon, age 46 of Nashville transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Sunday, July 16, 2023.
Daryl Lamont Cannon was born on July 9, 1977, to parents Mr. Cecil M. Cannon and Mrs. Evelyn J. Cannon (Seals). He confessed faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Faith United Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Charlie Oglesby.
Daryl was educated in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School system and received his high school diploma from Whites Creek Comprehensive High School. He furthered his education at Nossi School of Art, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design.
A successful free-lance graphic artist, Daryl designed such products as business cards, stationery, graduation invitations, party invitations, newsletters and a photo membership list for the DKG International yearbook for two consecutive years. He also designed promotional items for a local annual awards show for several years.
Daryl enjoyed a short-lived career as a rap artist which resulted in his being featured on one album released by Loot Chase Records. He also enjoyed cooking and worked in food service for several years.
On July 16, 2023, Daryl departed this earthly life to begin a new life of eternal glory. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Cecil M. Cannon, grandparents Mr. Bilbo and Mrs. Mae Belle Cannon, and Rev. Walter Johnson and Mrs. Charlotte Johnson; uncles, Dwain Cannon, Robert E. Johnson, and William (Rose) Johnson; aunts, Doris (L.C.) Cox and Walsey Bennett.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving mother and stepfather, Dr. Evelyn Seals and Rev. Leslie Seals, Jr.; two sons, Rontez Devon Cannon and Demontez Lamont Cannon; brother, Reginald (Kimberly) Cannon, sister, Annette (Christopher) Daniels; aunts, Leora (Richard) McCoy, Barbara (Leroy) Barry, Pearl Hubbard, Bernita Postell, Regina (Jeffrey) Hale, Jean Matthews, Jacqueline Cannon, Annie (Ray) Myers, Verna (Freeman) Harrison, Vivian Campbell and Neni (Fred) Brown; uncles, Andrew Johnson, Rev. Carl (Kimberly) Johnson, Kelvin (Dorothy) Cannon, Denoval Cannon, and Andy Cannon. He also leaves his childhood brother-friends Andre’ Ray and Brian Shaw, his very special friend Andrea Gant, and a host of other relatives and friends.
