David M. Campbell, 71, of Nashville, Tennessee, formerly of Quincy, died at 7:21 a.m. Tuesday (December 30, 2014) in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Born March 3, 1943 in Quincy, David was the son of Harold and Alvera Snider Campbell. He had been married to Brenda J. Southall. She preceded him in death on June 27, 2011.
David loved drag racing and was a ham radio operator, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
David was a truck driver for Trinity Industries in Quincy and later for Reitchman Truck Company in Granite City, Illinois until his retirement.
Survivors include a son, Bryan Campbell (Donna) of Lascassas, TN; two granddaughters, Alexis Campbell and Alyssa Campbell; a brother, Dennis Campbell (Nancy) of Coatsburg, IL; a sister, Debbi Ingram (finace', Steve Stringfield) of Naperville, IL; a sister in law, Cindy Campbell of New London, MO; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Campbell.
David was cremated at his request. No services will be held.
