David Monroe Coleman

David Monroe Coleman was born March 10, 1962 to the parents of Jessie Thomas and Katie Coleman.  He attended Nashville Metropolitan Public School. Upon leaving school, he started work at Jim Coursey Bar-B-Que and  Ferguson Restaurant Equipment Company and Vanderbilt Medical Center in the Dietary Department.  Dave also worked at the original Doll’s Cafe with his sister Eddie "Doll" Harris. He eventually started business for himself, doing handyman work around Nashville.   At an early age Dave professed a love for Christ.  As he grew older had a love for Joel Osteen online services.  He met and married his love Sarah Griggs in 1992. Although they divorced, they remained good friends.  The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dave. Dave was the all around uncle that you could always count on for a good laugh.  Dave was proceeded in death by his parents Jessie Thomas and Katie Coleman and his siblings: Dewayne Thomas, “Doll” Harris, Leslie “Pop-poo” Coleman and Yvonne “Faye” Lawrence.  He leaves to cherish his memories: SisterSister-in-Law in Law: Virginia Coleman. Nieces and Nephews: (Doll’s Descendants) devoted niece Sandra Brittan, Joseph “Shirley” Johnson, Ramona “George” Douglas, Linda “Gary” Phelps, Marvin “Alethia” Jones, Thelma Ricketts, Levi “Shanell” Harris. (Pop-poo Descendants) Donna Johnson, Leslie “Monty” Coleman, Sean Coleman, Veronica “Dee Dee” Peacock. (Faye Descendants) Lateshia Coleman, Tomika Coleman, Loletia “LaMarcreo” Kennedy. Cousin Shelia Gordon and a host of great nieces, great nephews and cousins. A special devoted friend Sandra Lee.
