GREGORY, David Boone, age 60, passed away August 5th, 2013. He was born January 15,1953 in Columbia, TN. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Cara Gregory. He is survived by his mother, Ida Faye Boone Gregory, wife Kathi Cotton Gregory, siblings Harold Henry Gregory, Ann Gregory Frazier; her husband Stephen, Linda Gregory Starnes; her husband Greg Starnes. Nieces and Nephews: Andrew Frazier, Stephanie Frazier White and husband Garret White, Becky Starnes Simpson and husband James Simpson, Carey Starnes South and husband Rusty South, David Starnes, Amy Starnes, and Douglas “Trey” Cotton. Great nieces and nephew: Payten South, Sadie Simpson, and Henry South. David attended Portland (TN) HIgh School, Volunteer State Community College, and earned a professional degree in Architecture from The University of Tennessee. He was employed 11/30/1981 by Gould Turner Group Inc. as an Intern. For the majority of his career, David managed the national account for Hospital Corporation of America. He was the project architect on new healthcare facilities in over twenty states. He remained employed until 11/30/2012 when he left to commence treatment for Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia. He was successfully transplanted with his sister Ann’s stem cells at The Sarah Cannon Center for Blood Disorders. He expired from complications of Graft vs Host Disease after a valiant struggle against great odds. Visitation will be held at his home located at 700 12th Ave. S., unit 1511, Nashville, TN, from 5 until 8 PM on Thursday, August 8, and Friday August 9th. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Sarah Cannon Center for Blood Disorders.
