Delores Ann Lymon

Ms. Delores Ann Lymon gained her wings and flew home to our heavenly father on November 27, 2021, giving thanks to God for the time he allowed her to us.


Delores was born February 20, 1959 to the late Mary Lizzie Lashley-Lymon and Joshua Lymon in Chicago, Illinois.


Delores received most of her education in the Davidson County School system, after moving to Nashville, TN.


Anyone who knew Delores knew that she loved Jesus! She professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Belle Meade United Primitive Baptist Church where she remained until God called her home. She loved singing in the choir.


Delores loved spending time with her family, friends, and many others that she “adopted” to be a part of her family. She had a natural smile that would light up any room. She had a heart full of love that she would give to anyone she met…literally anyone! She never met a stranger, she truly loved people.


Delores was preceded in death by her parents Joshua Lymon and Mary Lizzie Lashley-Lymon, sisters Emma Lymon and Bettye Grover, and brothers Allen Lymon, James Lymon, and Charles Lymon; aunt Anna Margaret Lashley; devoted cousin Anna Equaebar; bonus daughter Carol Dotson; and long time loving companion James Lewis.


Delores leaves to cherish her memories: loving children Mary Lymon, Jamarv Lymon, Gina Jones, and Adam Jones, Jr; bonus son, Theopolis Cortner; grandchildren Timera Johnson, Diamond Trotter, Charles Jones, Makayeli Trotter, Jay’Quan Jones, Myles Lockridge, Ivan Johnson, Mariah Lockridge, Adam Lymon; loving Nana’s grandchildren De’Wayne Dotson, Daniel Dotson, Denzel Dotson, Daryl Dotson, Davion Dotson, A’miracle Dotson; loving and devoted sister Diane Lymon; brothers Joe Lymon and Gregory Lymon; devoted cousins Shannon Lashley and Juanita Simmons; devoted nieces and nephews Burnell Lymon(Crystal) -Columbus Ohio, Joseph Lymon(LaShae)-Zion, IL, Bethrese Packard(Valiant),-Douglasville, GA, Genthina Lymon- Kenosha, WI, Antonio Patterson, Jeffrey Patterson, and Michael Patterson, Jr; god daughters Diane Gilmore, Patricia Whitehorn, Carla Dotson, LaTarsha Nelson, Paola Proctor, Brinn Black and Paulette Summers; sister-friend Paula Adams; devoted friends Brooke Johnson, Valeria Davis, Theresa Brown, Ms. Cathy and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
