Derrick Dewayne Brown

Our beloved Derrick DeWayne Brown was born November 2, 1978 in Nashville, TN. He fell asleep in death on May 10, 2015 following an extensive illness. He was raised in Nashville and educated in the Metro Public School System. On October 17, 2009, he married Latoyia Buchanan. There were no children born to this union. Derrick was employed in the Food Service Industry and when not working enjoyed fishing, listening to “old school” music and watching anything dealing with the Tennessee Titans.

Derrick had a beautiful smile and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father the late Robert Williams. He was loved by all who knew him and will be sadly missed by his family including his wife, Latoyia; mother, Renee Brown; grandmother, Elizabeth Williams and Mary Hughes; brothers, DeWayne (Tiffany) Pollard and Monterius Pollard; mother-in-law, Rowena Hatch; brother-in-law, Bernard (Najlaa) Buchanan; grand aunt, Beverly (Ernest) Anthony; aunts, Deborah Brandon, Vanessa (Gary) Fentress, Danielle Cooper, Naomi Baker, Deborah (Michael) Coble, Beverly (Andrew) Valentine, Deniece (Bobby) Agewood and Angela Donaldson; uncles, James Lewis Brown Jr., David Charles Baker, Rodney Brown and Charles Donaldson; cousins, David Patrick (Nickcia) Brandon, Ernest III, William (Brenda), Darrell (Tammy), Gerald, Dennis, Gary, Jerry and Anthony; nieces, Elizabeth Brandon, Monterius Pollard Jr., and Mikayla Pollard and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation with family Friday May 15, 2015 from 6-7pm with Memorial service to follow at HIGHLAND HILLS CHAPEL, 2422 Brick Church Pike.
