Don was born on November 2, 1957 in Nashville, Tennessee to Dessie and Clifford Foster. He was the youngest of five siblings. Don passed peacefully from this life on the morning of November 21, 2023 after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life.
Don joined the military shortly after graduating from high school and attending college classes at Tennessee State University He served 22 years in the United States Air Force and just short of 20 years as a government employee for the Air Force. After raising three sons and a daughter, Don, and his wife Lisa, returned to his hometown of Nashville five years ago.
He was preceded in death by his son Jordan Deion Foster, and his parents, Clifford and Dessie Foster.
Those left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy are his devoted wife Lisa Renae: three children; Antonio Duane (Jessica) Foster, Nashville, TN, Tyrone Nelson (Doreen) Collier, Ashburg, VA., Tiffany Marie (Michael) Battle, Denver, CO.; six grandchildren, DeChary Munsel Foster, Malachi Isaiah Foster, Amara Renee Foster; Bryson Lenox Collier; Kaden Xavier Battle, Skylar Nova Battle, Don is survived by his sisters. Gloria Douglas, Ft. Washington, MD. Shirley D. (William) Head, Darrmita J. Henry, brother Clifford (Vera) Foster, Atlanta, GA.; aunt, Kathleen Campbell; uncle, Guy Bobby Atkins; mother-in-law, Vickie Cecil, Cleveland, Ohio; brother-in-law, Jerry Cecil, Dayton, OH and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; best friends, Terry Jackson, Eric Smith and Henry
