Dora Ophelia Lee

Dora Ophelia Lee, the daughter of Dutch and Leona “Polly” Reed was born in Veto Alabama on July 31, 1933. She departed life on April 30, 2017 at the wonderful age of 83.
Dora, attended grade school in Veto Alabama and furthered her education in Athens Alabama. She was baptized at an early age at the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Veto Alabama. She matriculated to Nashville, TN in the early 1950’s with three young boys, meeting the man of her dreams, Morris Lee in 1962. Dora and Morris were married on February 15, 1963.
Dora devoted her life to taking care of her family. She joined Cleveland Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served on several different ministries. In addition to being a house wife, she also worked for Avon as an independent sales representative for over 40 years.
Dora is preceded in death by her parents Dutch and Leona Reed, daughter Verona Lee, son Laurence Whitfield, Seven brothers and Six sisters.
Dora is survived by her loving husband Morris Lee of 54 years, Two loving and devoted children, Walter (Carletta) Whitfield, Andrew Whitfield: Sisters Elizabeth Reed Rogers, Maggie Phillips: A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends
