Mrs. Dorothy Ann Daughrdrill Kelly affectionately known as Granny and Ge Ge age 78, made her transition on December 19, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family.
Ge Ge’s doors truly swung on welcome hinges and when you entered you were made to feel at home. If I can help somebody along the way then my living would not be in vain.
She was educated in the Davidson County Public Schools. She was employed by Mike Rose Foods for twenty years until her health failed.
Ge Ge professed a hope in Christ and in 1992 united with Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend James D. Cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy Kelly, Sr.; step-son, Elroy Kelly, Jr.; brother, Robert Turner, Jr.; sister, Geraldine Daughtdrill and Lillian Smiley.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted daughter, Carolyn (Solomon) Jenkins; devoted granddaughters, Chekela (Kerry) Allmond, Cheria (Darrell) Wilson, Jennifer Gammon; step-daughters, Ebony Kelly and Tikka Kelly; grandson, Lynn Jay Toliver; devoted God daughters, Cassandra (Rahim) Hasan, Loretta Bradford and Nancy Walden; great grandchildren, Summer, Josiah, Skyler, Shaun, Joshua Octavious, Kay`lah, Darrell Jr., and Asley, Joi; devoted niece, Patricia (Michael) Fosten; other nieces, Parcilla Bennett, Annie (Danny) Westmoreland, Ernestine (Michael) Moore, Ramona Turner, Tewana Tolbert and Lolitha Bright; nephews, Sebastian (Linda) Daughtdrill, Robert (Mary) Turner, Kenneth (Gloria) Turner and Raymond Bright; devoted great niece, Chemeka, Cheteka Daughtdrill, Latasha Turner Fox, Dequita, Denita, Quashawta, Sebon, Sabrina, Quanette; great nephews, Demetrius (Lisa) Daughtdrill, Sebastian Jr. (Brittany) Daughtdrill, Christian Fox, Melvin Fitzgerald, Kenneth, Robert, Herbert Turner, Michael Daughtdrill, Christopher Beard and Wayne Anderson; devoted cousins, Frances Ralston, Theresa Clem, Dorothy Stone, Jewel (Ted) Swanson, Diane Williams and Rose Pitts; numerous other relatives and friends.
