Dorothy Marie Baskerville was born August 18, 1929 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Foster and Marguerite Speights. She received her education in the Nashville public school system graduating from Pearl High School in 1948.
She joined the Original Church of God at 14th and Phillips Street where she served faithfully for many years as a member of the Senior Choir until her health began to fail.
She was employed for many years at the National Baptist Publishing Board until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one devoted daughter, Marita (Theodore) Hughes; sons, William IV, Larry, and Knowland (Sherry) Baskerville; grandchildren, Theodore Jr. (Dwanna), Brain (Albertina) Hughes, William A. Baskerville V, Shamecca (Jonathan) Williams, LaTisha, Ericha, Joshua and Justin Baskerville; eleven great grandchildren; devoted niece, Joan Greig of Atlanta, GA; and many other nephews, nieces, grand nephews, cousins, devoted friend, Norma Baskerville and a host of other friends.
