Douglas Eugene Howse was born July 11, 1948 in Nashville, TN. He lived a full and vibrant life. Douglas was called to his heavenly home by our Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
In Hendersonville, TN. He was the son of Ernest and Eva Howse. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Harold Howse and Phillip Howse, and sister Teresa Polk.
He acknowledged his belief and faith in Jesus Christ and joined Seay Hubbard Methodist Church. He served God and his fellow man faithfully and with a purpose.
Doug loved people, always smiling and having a good word for anyone who would listen. He never met a stranger. He made friends almost everywhere he went.
He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy, and the Board of Education. He retired from the Board after many years of service.
He loved riding his motorcycle. Being a member of the El Amigos Motorcycle club gave him a chance to meet even more friends.
Doug loved cooking and baking. He loved to whip up something special for anyone one a special occasion.
Doug had a positive outlook on life. He loved a good joke or laugh. He loved his church family, The Men's Choir and any activity where help was needed. He touched countless lives with his humor, laughter, and friendliness. And don't forget that smile.
He leaves to remember him his sons; Terrance Howse, Michael Eugene Howse(Sengta), brother, Charles Howse(Sharonda), nieces Angela Lanier(Antonio), Pamela Polk, and Michael's mother Jacqueline Howse.
