Earl Hunter Scales age 77, of Nashville transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Saturday, September 27, 2014.
Preceded in death by parents, Earl and Willie Mai Scales. He retired from the United States Air Force and the United States Postal Service.
Survived by devoted wife, Roberta Harlan Scales; daughter, Dettra (Robert) Mitchem, Hurst, TX; sons, Derek Shelton, Tucson, AZ; Derel (Kathleen) Scales and Dion (Amber) Scales, Nashville, TN; Darin (Leoma) Scales and Andre (Lititia) Scales, Las Vegas, NV; 23 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one brother, Oscar (Mary) Scales; three nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Brenda Harlan; a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Viewing Thursday, October 2nd from 2-7 p.m. With family present at 5 p.m.
Visitation Friday, October 3rd , 11 a.m.-12 Noon, funeral to follow, Highland Hills Funeral Chapel, 2422 Brick Church Pike with Reverend James J. Green, Eulogist. Interment Veteran's Cemetery, Pegram, TN.
