Eddie Ellis, Jr. went on to rest early morning on June 5th, 2021, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on May 8, 1940 to parents of Eddie Ellis Sr. and Georgia Lee Robertson Ellis of Tillar McGehee, Arkansas. At the young age of 11, he professed his life to Christ at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church. And then received his education at Wolfe Project High School.
During his young days of travel, he found himself in Chicago where he met and married his wife, Bobbie, on December 5th of 1966. They returned to Nashville both as Licensed Cosmetologists but his profession was a Mason.
His art in Masonary was working with rock. In his past time, he really loved to just go fishing. After he attended the Kingdom Hall with his wife for many years, eventually he devoted his life to Christ, joined and got baptized in 2011, and has been active with the Jehovah’s Witnesses ever since.
He was preceded in death by both parents, brother Clarence Ellis and son Melvin Lee “Jerry” Woodard.
He leaves to cherish his memory devoted wife, Bobbie Ellis; son, Eric Jackson of Nashville, TN. Sister, Bonny (Jessie) Ellis Powell of McGehee, Arkansas; Sister-In-Law, Larry Ellis; A host of relatives that spread from California to Florida.
