Eddie E. Epps Jr, 49, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 20, 2020 in Hartsville, TN. He was born on January 24, 1971, to parents Eddie E. Epps Sr and Betty Woodard in Nashville, TN.
Eddie enjoyed cooking and was an amazing chef. He loved football and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Eddie would occasionally enjoy driving jeeps in the mud. Then, he would mischievously conquer you in the game of chess as he knew some may have underestimated him. Eddie was very hardworking and loving son, brother, father, but most of all grandfather.
Eddie was the oldest sibling as the oldest he had the responsibility of taking care of his brother and sister. He graduated from Maplewood High School.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, L.D. and Ara Lee Jernigan and Josephine Epps; brother, Jason L. Epps.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memory, children Davonta Epps and Tyreca Epps; granddaughter, Bria Shannon; parents, Betty (Thomas Jr.) Woodard and Eddie (Beverly) Epps, sisters, Tonya M. Epps and Shawnta Loran of New York, NY; step-sisters, Sheronda Cathey and Sondra Sykes; step-brothers, Thomas Woodard, III, Teddy and Cecil Chisom; uncles Luther Jernigan, Jr. and Charles Epps; aunt Evie Hyde; grandniece, Bria Shannon; devoted friends, Roderick Mooney and Kim Roddy. Eddie was also blessed with host of cousins and friends.
