Ms. Esther Beatrice Mays was born on November 8, 1927 in Nashville, Tennessee, Davidson County to the late Artie B. and Thelma Wenzola Avant. She received her education in the Davidson County Public schools.
Esther married her childhood sweetheart, Frank “Pee Wee” Satterfield and they had two daughters, Kay and Denise. Years later Esther married William E. Mays, Jr. and they had a daughter, Kim D. Mays Sublett.
Esther worked as a secretary for McKissack & McKissack Architects for some 20 plus years. After merging with Hardaway Construction Company, she worked there until retiring in 1991.
Esther was preceded in death by her mother, father and daughter Kay Darlene Studesville.
Esther would have turned 91 years young on November 8 and will be celebrating in heaven with her love ones and Jesus. She was a Godly woman who loved life.

Dinwiddie (Vincent), New York, NY; niece, Michelle Segue(Taylor), Detroit, MI; great grandson, LaRonte Studesville, Antioch, CA; great great granddaughter, Amorie Studesville, Antioch, CA; son-in-law Robert E.
