Forrest Anderson Lake was born in Nashville, TN on August 27, 1947. He was the middle child of the late Ruby and Clyde Lake. He attended Meigs High School and graduated in 1965. Upon graduation, Forrest enlisted in the United States Army. Upon leaving the Army, he attended Tennessee Vocation School and received his certification in HVAC service and repair.
Forrest accepted Christ at early age at Braden Methodist Church. As a youth, he served in several capacities within his church including the choir, usher board and other activities.
He was a witty and fun loving character. He always had smile or comment to anyone who would listen. Forrest never met a stranger and seldom forgot a face. He instilled a love of music and life to everyone around him.
On Thursday, January 19, 2017, Forrest ended his earthly journey and took his final rest. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Forrest Anderson Lake; mother, Ruby Peak Betty Lake; bothers, Willie T. Betty and Thomas Earl Lake.
He leaves to cherish his memory, children, Miguel Lake, Monica (HJ) Birdsong, Malcolm Lake and Michelle Lake (Flip Woods), devoted friend, Dorothy G. Lake; grandchildren, Brittney Hillsman, Braxston Woods, Quan Z. Fisher and Chelby Woods; niece, Yoshicka Betty; devoted cousins, Joyce (Huge) Jackson and Patricia (Joe) Perkins; and a host of other cousins and friends.
