Frances was born on October 3, 1927 to late Bennie W. Wright and Mother Freddie Mai Anthony Wright. She was affectional and respectfully addressed by Frances, Afrances, Aunt Arfrances, Granny, Granny Annie, and Mrs. Savage known by her family, friends and all that knew her. She was a loving, kind, gentle and a caring lady. She loved the LORD with her whole being and was a faithful member of her church where she served on the Pastor’s Aide, Hospitality Committee and in the chore for many years.. She was also intercessor and prayer warrior, mom loved to pray. The evangelic side of her was sharing her faith with others making them aware in a gentle way their need for The Savior. The Missionary gift in her would feed the hungry and provide clothes to those without. She also sponsored/adopted a child in Africa and continued her commitment into the young lady’s adulthood. The young lady later wrote mom thanking her for her many faithful years of love and support to her and her family. Because of her “servant’s heart” mom would look to help those in need and without even the birds while setting on her front porch. During her teen years she left Trousdale County to move to Chicago/Evanston Illinois where residing with her cousin Annie and Robert Woods in assisting in raising their daughter the late Sue.A. Morris. While in Chicago she formed a social club of teen girls called the “Teenettes”. Mom would later move back to her native state of,Tennessee to meet and married the late, brilliant, distinguish, community and political activist John Thomas Savage.They both served and where respected pillars in the community. She later was employed at the old Baptist Hospital where she was the Head Baker/Supervisor and later where she retired.
She precede in death her late husband John Thomas Savage; son William Lawrence Savage, father; Bennie W. Wright, mother; Freddie Mai Anthony Wright, sisters; Agnes Terry, Sarah L, Crenshaw, Niece:Linda Crenshaw-Groves, cousin: John D.(Luster) Young and great grandson: Derek Hawkins, Jr.
Frances leaves to cherish her legacy of love and memories, son: Robert A.(Joyce) Savage, daughter: Teresa M. Savage, Grandchildren;William L.(Lisa) Savage, Felicia G.(Derek,Sr) Hawkins, Jessica M.(Antonio) McDougal, Robert A.Savage, Joseph E.B. Savage, Precious N.(Cameron) Brown. Jeffrey J.(Michelle) Thomas, Great grandchildren: Deja. Hawkins, Tiana McDougal, Malachi Humphrey, Royal Savage, Antonio, Jr McDougal, Sarah Thomas, Elijah Brown, Audia McDougal, Esther Brown, Ezekiel Brown and Royce Savage. Niece: Beverly (William) Gregory, Nephews: Lewis (Betty) Crenshaw, Michael (Ernestine) Crenshaw, and David Crenshaw.
