Franklin R. Barksdale Jr., Age 56, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
Franklin (Frank) Delano Roosevelt Barksdale Jr. was born on April 6, 1964 in Nashville, Tennessee. He accepted Christ into his life and was baptized at an early age at Jackson Street Baptist Church in Nashville. He attended and graduated from Whites Creek Comprehensive High School, and played on the basketball team. He worked his first job at Overton Produce, and then went on to obtain employment at the U.S. Tobacco Company (Altria) in Nashville where he worked as a dedicated employee for 32 years.
Frank was loving, hard-working, passionate about life, he loved to cook, grill, enjoyed interior decorating, enjoyed listening to music, entertaining and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents–Jasper Curry, Katherine Hill; Sister–Karen Gooch, Father–Franklin Barksdale Sr. and his Daughter–Erika Barksdale.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Wife–Sharon (Shay) Branch Barksdale; Mother–Anita Newhouse; Daughters–Franshaska Barksdale and Aubrei Barksdale; Son–Blair Anthony Noel; Sisters–Beverly Horton, Pamela Gooch, and Cheryl Thomas; Brothers–Rodney (Felicia) Gooch, and Tony Suggs; Nephews–Demetric (Mieche) Pinkerton, Brian Thomas, Cody McKissak, Anthony Suggs; Nieces–Anita Horton, Tiffany Gooch, Brittany Gooch, and Jasmine Suggs; Mother-In-law, Betty Branch; Father-in-law–Charles (Mollie) Branch Sr.; Brother in-laws–Charles (Shayne) Branch, Cory Branch, and Carlos Branch; Sister-n-law-Shanitra Davis Branch; Stepchildren–Ebony Matthews, Andre Matthews, LaShandia Hawkins, and Gregory Hawkins Jr.; Ex-Wife–Sharon (Snooky) Barksdale; Dedicated Friend–Bobby Frierson, grandchildren, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
