Harvey Lee Galloway

November 28, 1936 — March 15, 2017

Harvey Lee Galloway was born on November 28, 1936 to the late Willie C. Matthew, Sr. and Mary Allene Holt in Nashville, Tennessee.

He served in the United Stated Air Force and for many years worked in the restaurant business both in Tennessee and Florida. A long and full life came peacefully to an end on March 15, 2017 at Saint Thomas Mid-Town Hospital.

He preceded in death by his parents, siblings and grandson, Tevin Scruggs.

Survivors include wife, Pinkie Galloway, Daytona Beach, Florida; one brother, Willie C. Matthews, Jr., Nashville, Tennessee; four daughters, Pretima Scruggs, Madison, Tennessee, Sonia Galloway, Middletown, Delaware, Jocelyn Davis and Jennifer Galloway, both Daytona Beach, Florida; one son, Roderick Galloway, New Castle, Delaware; granddaughters, Amber Scruggs, Madison, Tennessee, and Ashley Galloway, Daytona Beach, Florida; grandsons, Daryus Drayton and Kelvin Flynt, Jr., Daytona Beach, Florida.; great granddaughter, Nia Donaldson, Madison, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins , family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Galloway will be the viewing at 11:00 am, followed by service at 12 noon at the Highland Hills Funeral Home, 2422 Brick Church Pike on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

Interment will be Monday, March 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Nashville National Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Pegram, Tennessee.
