God called Helen home to be with him in Glory on December 26, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Helen Louise Knight was born on April 7, 1946 to the late William D. Knight and Ida Jackson-Knight, to this union 13 children were born. She received her education through the Metropolitan Public School Systems were she was proud to be a “Haynes High Wildcat”.
Helen accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Frank Kelley, Beech Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Helen was employed with National Linen for 20 years after which she gained employment with John and Lake Eakins for more than 25 years. Helen portrayed all of the characteristics of a hardworking and dedicated employee
She had an undying love for cooking and children.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, William D. Knight and Ida Jackson Knight; brothers, Jessie, Robert, James, Willie, Edward and Baby Knight (Edwards Twin); sisters, Mary Knight and Lorraine Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three sisters, Nannie L. Boyland, Shirley A. Patton and a devoted sister, Ida I. Carter; one brother, Johnny B. Knight; niece, Lorraine Knight Hunter, Charlaine Knight, Sherry Knight Sublett; cousins, Paul Lewis and Julia Jackson; devoted friend, Thomas Senter; and a host of other nieces, nephew, and other relatives.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Visitation Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 6-7pm with funeral to follow at Beech Creek, 3101 Curtis Street.
Interment Wednesday, December 30th at 11AM in Greenwood West Cemetery.
