Helen Lucille Sledge

Helen Lucille Sledge was born on April 26, 1932 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late John and Rosa Williams. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Skyline Medical Center.

She attended Bransford High School. Helen married David Sledge in 1960, to this union two children were born.

Helen loved children and was a dedicated mother, wife and sister. She worked diligently at the Metro Nashville Public School System as an Educational Assistant.
She was a member of Hillhurst Baptist Church and served faithfully until her health failed.

She loved gardening, singing, cooking and entertaining her family and friends.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, David Sledge; son, Alexander Sledge; brother, Arthur Williams; and sister, Marie Finn.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted daughter, Shelia Sledge; brothers, Norris Williams, Robert (Evelyn) Williams, and John (Carnell) Williams; sisters, Earlene Bell, Mary Williams and Glodean Northern; grandchildren, Alexis, Johnathan, Dana, Kelly and Jeffrey Sledge; great granddaughter, Keira Jennelle Sledge; uncle, Charlie Hudgens; sister–in-law, Florence Williams; daughter-in-law, Katrina Sledge; and a host of other relatives and friends.
