Horace Baxter Chambers departed this life and entered into the loving arms of Jesus on November 6, 2018, he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nashville, TN on January 4, 1935 to his mother, Mary Chambers. Horace received his religious values early in life this prompted him to join the church at an early age.
Horace attended the Public School systems in Nashville, TN where he was active in various school activities. He joined the United States Army and served receiving an Honorable Discharge. He was employed for many years (40) at Werthan Bag of Nashville TN, until his retirement.
Horace was very stylish and loved to dress well keeping up with the latest styles. He loved his family, and they also loved him. He was always kind and compassionate to all that he met. He attended church until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy McCall Chambers; mother, Mary Chambers and two siblings, one brother and one sister.
Horace leaves to cherish his memories a loving son, Timothy Baxter Chambers, of Australia; two grandchildren, Bailey Chambers, and Ashanti Chambers, of Australia; devoted sister in law, Charlotte (Jessie) Greer, Nashville TN; sister, Monica Jordan of Nashville TN; brother, Thomas (Lula) Turner, of Nashville TN; loving and supporting nieces,Sonya (Eddie) Barnes, of Hendersonville TN, Dr. Charner Rodgers, Atlanta GA; great nephew, Aaron Barnes, Hendersonville, TN; beloved nephew, Tommy Turner Jr; nieces, Parke and Taylor Faison, Atlanta GA; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
