Ida Elizabeth Davis was born on January 14, 1962 in Nashville, TN to the late James Earl Davis, Sr. and Ida Beatrice Carlton. Ida Elizabeth (Liz) transitioned to eternal rest on January 9, 2022 at the age of 59.
She graduated from Pearl High School in 1979. She also attended Tennessee State University for nursing. She worked at Jones Super Saver and later at Health Spring.
Liz was a member of the Ephesian P.B. Church where she was a member of the choir at one time, nurses’ guild and cooked breakfast before Sunday School.
Her hobbies included cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, dressing nicely, playing pool and swimming.
She was preceded in death by both parents, 2 uncles Bobby Ray Stewart and James Thomas Stewart. 2 aunts Mary Lou Campbell and Wilma Jean Cathey. Grandfather Reverend John Edward Thomas and grandmother Mamie Elizabeth Stewart.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Travis Davis, Pastor Terrance (Rosalyn) Davis, Tremont Davis and Tiffany Davis. One brother James E. (Denise) Davis Jr. Three sisters Annette (Robert) McMurry, Diane Stewart and Carolyn Carlton. Devoted friend Mark Williams. Six grandchildren Terriana Davis, Trenisha Davis, Semarion Bentley, Chasity Davis, Terrance Davis Jr. (TJ) and Rod’Niyah Davis. Adopted family Mark Williams Jr. and Mary Ann Williams. 2 Uncles: George Stewart and Richard Timothy Stewart 2 aunts: Joann Moore and Linda Stewart and a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
