James Edward Gamble, Sr.
January 22, 1939 — June 20, 2016
Age 77, was reunited in death with his beloved wife of 55 years, Wanda L. Gamble at his residence on Monday, June 20, 2016.
Mr. Gamble was also preceded in death by his parents, Ben Stokes Gamble and Eulola Gamble; brother, David Gamble and great granddaughter, Lilly Doss.
He is survived by his children, James Gamble Jr.(Sheryll), Janice Gray(Harold), Jerry Gamble(Teresa), Todd Gamble(Tonya), Johnny Gamble(Pam), Jennifer McCroskey(Jeff) and Joy Ellis(Scott); 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Pope; brother, Ben (June Bug) Gamble; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2016 and Friday, June 24, 2016 from 9-10 am at Highland Hills Funeral Home, 2422 Brick Church Pike with funeral services conducted at 10am with Pastor Sandy Shawhan, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
