James Robert Howse, Jr. was born November 16, 1946 in Nashville, TN to the late James and Susie Howse. James Jr. went on to be with the Lord on October 17, 2020 with his family by his side Dolton, AL.
James Jr attended the Detroit Public Schools and graduated from Southwestern High School. He received an Associate Degree from Highland Park Community College in Drafting Technology and an Associate Degree from the Chicago Technical College in Design Engineering Technology.
During his time in Dothan. AL he attended Park Chapel AME Church, and while he was in Detroit. Ml he always attended Reverend Dr. Wendell Anthony’s Church, Fellowship Chapel.
James Jr displayed an enormous expertise in virtually every phase of Automotive Engineering while working for the Big Three car companies. He showed special skills as a Master in Surface Development in the United State and countries abroad. The honors and rewards for his creative talent was a tremendous contribution to the auto industry.
James Jr. also received a Resolution of Tribute, House Resolution No. 681 from the State of Michigan in December 1980.
James Jr. leaves to celebrate his life, a son, Ajamu Ajani of Brazil; a daughter, Tiombe Serwa (Corey) Morgan; five sisters, Evelyn (Jerome) Corey, Eastpointe. Ml; Mattye Wallace-Wilson of Madison, TN., Ernestine Howse, Valerie Howse both of Detroit, MI and Theresa Howse of Dothan. AL; one brother, Charles T. Alexander, of Columbus, OH; brother, Larry Howse preceded him in death. A loving granddaughter and three grandsons; cousins, Betty (Tossie) Colley of Loganville, GA, Lonell (Kwesi) Lee of Detroit, MI; his very special friends, Edward Vaughn, Nettie Bryant and a host of other relatives and friends.
