James Henry Veals

Sergeant James Henry Veals Sr., was preceded in death by his father Henry Polk Smith, mother Louise Veals, daughter April Phillips, grandson Anthony Phillips, great-grandson Ja’Mari Veals and son-in-law Anthony Cason.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Mollie Veals. One son, James Henry Veals Jr of Nashville TN, two daughters, Tonya (Otis) Singleton and Lisa Phillips Cason both of Nashville TN. One sister, Shirley Martin of Murfreesboro TN, one brother, Floyd Veals of Murfreesboro TN. Six devoted grandchildren, Brittany and Otisha Veals, Jarrod Phillips Sr, Marquiz Phillips and Stacy Phillips and Jessica (Cameron) Sisney. Eight great grandchildren Danquiz Moore, Peyton and Paisley Jones, Kyree and Kensleigh Casey, Dominisha Tate and Jamyia and Jarrod Jr Phillips. Two sisters- in- law, Catherine (Arthur Jr.) Henderson and Ella Mclaurin and three brothers-in- law Shelley (JoEsta) Phillips, Austin Phillips, and Clarence (Jenee) Phillips all of Nashville, TN. He has a host of nieces and nephews and devoted friends, David Johnson, James Fox, and Lula Dansby to cherish his memory.
