Janice Maria King was born on March 3, 1956 to Mary L. King and the late Robert Robinson. She departed this life on Monday, March 16, 2015.
Janice professed a love for Christ at an early age.
Janice attended East High School where she played the clarinet in the band. She was honored in high school as “most likely to succeed” and “most wittiness”. She attended MTUS majoring in Psychology.
Janice worked at First American and Third National Bank for many years. She also worked at Kroger on 8th and Monroe for 15 years.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Robert Robinson; grandfather, William Hatchett; and step father, Jenrette Barnett.
Janice leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted mother, Mary L. Barnett; devoted sister, Sharon Blackburn and devoted brother-in-law, Minister Kennard Blackburn; brothers, Dea (Vanessa) Robinson, Richard (Pam) Robinson, Emery “Jerry” (Phyllis) Robinson, and Samuel “Sam” Robinson; nephews, Justin, Jonathan and Joshua (Kenya) Blackburn; great aunt, Cliffordean Woods; step mother, Sharon Robinson; other devoted aunt, Arvine B. Medaries; cousins, Valerie (Michael) McClain and William “Randy” Medaries; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends, Clarence (Jenee) Phillips, Gwen and aunt Helen; the staff at Kroger’s on 8th and Monroe; Juanita Smith and Janice Richardson.
