Janice Wallace

Janice Celestine Wallace was born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 7, 1958 the daughter of the late Samuel and Helen Smith and James Patterson, Sr. She peacefully transitioned on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at her residence.

She received her formal education in Metropolitan Davidson County Public School System. She worked in several clerical positions throughout the Metropolitan Nashville area.

Janice accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, until her illness. She was a former usher at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Maxie Allyne Patterson, Sr. (July 31, 2015).

Janice leaves to cherish her memories her two children, Anthony Walker and Anton Patterson; six grandchildren, Jataysha, Dominique and Jaden Davis, Iyanna Hawkins, Keontae Lockridge and Amarie Sowell; sisters, Mary Patterson, Roxie Walker (Juan) and Deborah Brown (Kenneth); brother, Alvin Patterson (Angela); sister-in-law, Tonya Patterson; devoted friend, Tonya Simms; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.
