Jes`Shaun K. Patterson

Jesshaun Krse Patterson affectionately known as "Jesse," was born March 7, 2000, to Tracey Patterson and Edward Johnson. He transitioned from this Earthy life on July 3, 2021, peacefully in his sleep. Jesse graduated from East Magnet High School class of 2018. Jesse had a charisma that inspired devotion to others. He had an angelic spirit that others naturally gravitated towards him.

Jesse was talented and earned many accolades or honors of merit. As an athlete, Jesse was proficient. He excelled at baseball for 11 years. Jesse was a wide receiver for five years while playing football. Certainly, a man of seasons, he was also a participant in track and field. Jesse was a TSSAA Sub-Sectional Champion winning a "Gold Medal" running track; 2018 Overall Sectional Runners-Up in Track and Field; Jesse was featured in The Tennessean newspaper as a highlighted and spotlighted athlete in the Doug Hall Relays in Field Events. Finally, he received an Award of Honor and Congratulations from the State of Tennessee by the Honorable Carson W. Beck, State of Representative – House District 51. A plaque to commemorate his athletic achievements and dedication to his Alma Mater hangs on the gymnasium wall at East Nashville Magnet High School.

He was prepared to enroll and attend Middle Tennessee Tech University in the fall of 2021 to receive a degree in Mechanical Engineering and had plans to establish his own company. Jesse was ambitious, innovative, creative, and an excellent designer. He was a WINNER, future ENTREPRENEUR, and CEO.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Sheila Brodie; Great Uncle Charles "Uncle Chuck" Hazelitt; Great Great Aunt Joyce Buchanan; Brothers LaDarrius Gentry and Darrius Gilmore; Cousins Dorothea "Dot" Elliott, Treanolez "Treon" Patterson, and Fidashous "Fifi" Brodie.
