John Willie McNeil was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 23, 1934 to Lorenzo and Lula Bell McNeil.
John attended the Nashville Public Schools and he joined the United States Air Force in June 20, 1951.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo McNeil and Lula Bell Walls McNeil; four siblings, Archie Lee, John Henry, Jesse, Charles and Gussie Mae.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted sister, Florene Jones; two daughters, Regina (Walter) Pope and Lavonda “Bonnie” (Frank) Harris; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; a devoted friend, Gregory Reeves and friend, Sara Crutcher.
