Joseph W. Breiter, of Gallatin, TN., Age 59, died unexpectedly October 13, 2015 at home. He was born July 25, 1956 in Burbank, CA, the son of Patricia Ann (Crutchfield) Hay and later stepson to Edward Earl Hay.
Joe graduated from Reseda High School in 1974 and joined the U.S. Army, serving in the Army Security Agency in Panama from 1974-1978. Joe worked for Irvine Ranch Water District in southern California for 30 years and retired to Gallatin, TN to be with family in 2011. Joe was an amazing photographer and an avid music lover.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Edward Hay.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Hay, his brother, Kenneth Breiter, and his wife, Debbie, his sister, Erin Hay Curtis, and her husband, Perley, his sister, Laurie( Breiter )Korte, and her husband, Miles, his sister, Kellie (Breiter) Christnagel and eleven nieces and nephews (Sarah, Robert, Tricia, Thomas, Arthur, Jennavieve, Markie, Ashen, Mason, Grace Ann and Kellie Flower.)
A small, private family service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Hendersonville Memory Gardens at 3 PM. A celebration of Joe’s life will take place sometime after the first of the year in California for his many family and friends there. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Joe’s name to:
