Age 59, of Murfreesboro transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Monday, May 10, 2021.
On Friday, July 21, 1961 the lives of Clara Jacqueline Stevenson Thompson and Kelsey Allen Thompson were forever changed with the welcoming of their baby girl, Karen Jacqueline Thompson in San Diego, California. Heaven could no longer wait for this angel, she received her wings on Monday, May 10, 2021.
Karen was educated in the public schools of Metropolitan Davidson County where she was a precocious student with a fighting spirit but tender heart. Employed by DXC Technology, she was often recognized for going above and beyond. Her thoughtfulness and willingness to help others knew no boundaries.
Karen accepted Christ later in life and continued to live a life full of devotion and unwavering faith. Although she received Christ later in life, her unwavering faith was unmatched. As she opened her heart to Christ, Karen opened her heart to so many people over the years. There is no adequate measure of the extent of her influence upon the lives of others.
This stylish Queen could light up a room with her infectious smile and witty personality. She could bring joy to anyone with her decadent desserts and hilarious pranks. The legacy she left will continue to reflect the good deeds she did and the lessons she instilled. We will forever cherish the memories that she leaves with us… Queen K’s warm words of wisdom and straightforward advice, the abundance of carefully wrapped Christmas presents that adorned a perfectly decorated tree months before Christmas, delightful recipes, and an unmatched sense of humor, style and class.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Clara Stevenson Thompson, caring sister, Vanessa Thompson Reid, adoring nephew, Charleszell Ricci Thompson and loving grandson, Brian Yarborough.
