L.V. Trammell was born October 17, 1927 in Hillsboro, Alabama to Francis Banks Trammell and Ernest Trammell. He departed this life on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Creekside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madison, Tennessee.
He accepted Christ into his life and united with Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Reverend James Cooke. L.V. served as an usher during his membership at Immanuel.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Trammell; parents, Francis Banks Trammell and Ernest Trammell; daughter, Emma (Ronny) Jemison; sisters, Lena Kimber; Annie Azola Rayford; Ella Simpson; Ethel Phillips; Georgia Lyle; brothers, Willie Trammell; Raymond Trammell, Bill Trammell and Virgil Franklin II.
L.V. retired from Metropolitan General Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended public school in Lawrence County, Alabama. He loved restoring old cars, fishing and baseball. L.V. had a kind and gentle spirit.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Bobby (Rita) Trammell; David (Marissa) Trammell; Raymond (B.J) Trammell; Rudolph Trammell; Alfornia (Marggarit) Miller; Donnie (Carolyn) Trammell; daughters, Patricia (Wayne) Hale; Sharon Miller; Diane (Joe) Majors; Nieces, Estelle(WB) Armstrong, Frances Phillips; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
