Larry Thomas Bailey was born October 22, 1949 to the late James and Elizabeth Patience Cato-Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Bailey, Jr., mother, Elizabeth Patience Cato-Bailey, lifelong companion, Elizabeth "Wendy" Blair; siblings, George Nelson, James Edward, John Leslie, Bessie Juanita and Mattie Delores Cato, and grandson Aquan Avant.
Larry attended Nashville Davidson County Schools and was a graduate of Pearl High School. He retired after a dedicated career of over 40 years as a tractor trailer driver. He loved fishing, playing cards, shooting pool, and spending time with loved ones.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Antoinette Avant; son, Reggie Blair; devoted grandson, Reggie (Katie) Ford; other grandchildren, Doniel Williams, Antonia Avant, Andre Avant, Antoine Miller, Kevin Murphy, Jarrett Love; several great-grandchildren; devoted brother, Robert (Linda) Bailey; sisters, Min. Mary A. Bailey and Frankie Sowell; devoted nieces, Goldie Bailey, Wanda and Nephiteria Cato; devoted nephew, Jermarius Hastings and a host of other nephews, nieces, friends, and extended families: Lewis, McDowell, Hastings, Parrish, Williams, Woods, Tucker, and Stratton.
