Larry Donnell Mills

Larry D. Mills transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at St. Thomas Mid-Town Hospital. Larry was born November 12, 1953 to the late Ruth Jones (Herman Doak) and Tommy Mills.
Larry was educated in Nashville Public Schools and graduated from North High School. He severed his country in the Marines for a number of years.
Larry dedicated his life at an early age at Olivet Baptist Church. He held multiple jobs over the years, but most enjoyed working with one of his brothers, Robert Smith at Crest Furniture.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herman Doak, Jr., James (June Bug) Smith, Robert (Flat Top) Smith, Eddie Doak and Ricky Mills.
Larry leaves behind to mourn his memory, a devoted wife, Gwendolyn Mills; children, Larry Mills, Jr., Angeleeta Mills, LeTonya Young, LaTisha (Jeffery) Evans, Monteia Mills, Tenisha Mills, La`Ri Mills, Devon Callarman, and Shamille Jackson; siblings, Ruby Jones, Jimmy Doak, Denise Mills, Shila Doak, and Kenneth Doak; brother-in-law, James Jackson; sisters-in-law, Elaine Jackson, Deborah Jackson, Lu Anna Smith and Sheila Doak.
